Accessibility & Inclusion

The BMSS is committed to facilitating the full participation of all delegates at the conference. Please find some information on accessibility and inclusion matters below:

  • Talks, posters, the exhibition, and catering will take place over three levels. There is step-free access (lifts) between all levels.
  • Disabled and gender-neutral toilets are available in reception and on both the lower and upper concourse.
  • A hearing loop is available in the Opera Theatre and the Concert Hall (but not the Lecture Theatre). All delegates (in-person and digital-only registrations) will have access to the recorded talks after the conference.
  • A 'Quiet Space' will be available for delegates to access if required. Please ask at the Registration Desk for details.
  • A private, bookable room will be available which can be used (e.g.) for prayer, breastfeeding etc. Please indicate the timings and duration when you require this room in the space provided on your BMSS43 registration form, and we will endeavour to meet your needs.
  • Vegetarian food is provided as standard but other dietary requirements (e.g. vegan, gluten-free) should be requested in the box provided on the registration form.
  • Alcohol-free drinks will be available at the Dai Games Symposium, LGBTQ+ pre-dinner social event, and conference dinner.
