Virtual MSIS OurCon MS Imaging seminars 2021

Welcome to the event page for the Virtual OurCon Mass Spectrometry Imaging Seminar series, co-organised by MSIS and IMSS, and hosted by BMSS.

This series of virtual seminars has now been paused for the summer break. Please click here for information on the physical OurCon2021 Meeting which takes place at Sheffield Hallam University, U.K. on the 11–14 October 2021 (COVID-19 restrictions allowing).

The COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated the cancelation of many international meetings as well as meetings organized by national societies. This has significantly reduced opportunities for the dissemination of new developments in MSI and community networking generally.

The MSIS Virtual OurCon Seminars have been designed to address these shortcomings, ...to provide a virtual space for the benefit of the MSI community at large. The vision is to facilitate a series of interactive seminars primarily for Early Career Researchers to share their work with our community, ...to enable feedback and active discussion. The seminars originated from the desire to re-host a cancelled BMSS special interest group meeting as an online meeting, but which is now organized by MSIS and IMSS as an international effort supported by national and international societies.

We invite ALL colleagues in the Mass Spectrometry Imaging Community to join us!
