It has come to our attention that some individuals have been contacted by e-mail regarding their upcoming conference participation, particularly around hotel bookings. Please be aware that this is a scam. Examples of fraudulent email accounts used in this scam are (but are not limited to):

  • Booking Global
  • Gtravelmanagement

Please DO NOT give out any personal of financial information to any company or individual suggesting they are acting on behalf of the BMSS. Please ignore any emails and calls from them or any other travel agent; report them as spam via your organisation's spam/phishing program. If you have given out your credit card information to an external company or anyone claiming to be booking on behalf of the BMSS, call your credit card company immediately to block the transaction. 

For invited speakers, the BMSS will book accommodation with the hotel provider in advance on the speaker's behalf, we will never ask you to provide payment details. 

For delegates, you will always manage your own accommodation booking yourself directly. 

The only BMSS-appointed accommodation partner is HelmsBrisoce - who provide a local hotel search facility via their HOTELPMAP platform. 

Remember, the BMSS will only ever contact you via an official BMSS e-mail-addresses that end in "@bmss.org.uk".

If in any doubt, you can contact the BMSS directly using our contact details listed on this website to confirm the legitimacy of any communication pertaining to be from the BMSS.
