BMSS Statement: the crisis in Ukraine

23rd Mar 2022

We deplore the tragic circumstances in Ukraine and wish to express our sincere support for our fellow human beings afflicted by this disaster in eastern Europe.

The British Mass Spectrometry Society is deeply concerned and wishes for a cessation of hostilities, and an amicable resolution to this conflict. We stand with the international scientific community in offering filial support to all of our Ukrainian colleagues afflicted by this tragic conflict.

The BMSS will be establishing a fund to contribute financial support for displaced scientists who identify a host institution in the UK, or to facilitate collaborative projects with partners in our community. More information will follow on our web pages.

We stand with the international scientific community and will work with partners in offering support to researchers affected by this war through networks such as:
