BMSS Imaging & MALDI SIG Meeting 2024


Join us for a 1-Day meeting on the 10th of May 2024 in Sheffield, UK and a 1 day training day to be held on the 9th of May 2024.

The Centre for Mass Spectrometry Imaging & the Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University in conjunction with the British Mass Spectrometry Society is pleased to announce the next Mass Spectrometry Imaging Symposium.

THE MEETING:

This meeting will showcase the latest research and technical advances in MS Imaging. This year our Plenary Speakers are Professor Malcolm Clench (Sheffield Hallam University) and Professor Martina Marchetti-Deschmann (University of Technology, Vienna). 

CALL FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS AND POSTERS:

To be considered for an oral presentation (20 min), shotgun presentation (5 min dedicated to those that do not have a full dataset) or poster for (ECR/ECS abstracts invited), please submit your abstract stating which options you prefer to Dr Rob Bradshaw (r.bradshaw@shu.ac.uk) by the 12th of April 2024 at 5 pm. Successful applicants will be notified in the week commencing the 15th of April 2024.

Abstracts should be no more than 150 words in length and include the title, authors, and affiliations. Please also notify us if you wish to be considered for an oral presentation, shotgun presentation, poster presentation, or both.

TRAINING DAY:

Advanced Training session on DESI and MALDI Mass Spectrometry imaging techniques on the MRT, Cyclic and triple quadrupole Waters mass spectrometers delivered by Waters and supported/hosted by SHU within the Centre for Mass Spectrometry Imaging. Training delivered for final year PhD students and above.

REGISTRATION:

Registration for both events is free of charge, but is required for event catering and security. Links to the respective registration pages for each event can be found on the left side of this webpage.

Registration for the Symposium will close on the 26th of April 2024.
