BMSS Biomacromolecular Structure SIG meeting 2026

Welcome to the event page for the BMSS Biomacromolecular Structure Special Interest Group (BMS SIG) to be held on 28th & 29th January 2026 hosted jointly at the AstraZeneca Discovery Centre & The MRC Laboratory for Molecular Biology (LMB) in Cambridge.

Our exciting program will take place over two days.

Day 1 – Training – Wednesday 28th of January 2026.

Hands-on lab training in cross-linking for structural MS hosted at LMB. Attendees will gain practical experience of cross-linking for structural biology from experimental design strategies, through wet lab work, MS data acquisition and analysis. There will be also opportunity to visit both LMB and AstraZeneca and for informal networking in the evening.

Day 2 – Symposium – Thursday 29th of January 2026.

All day symposium hosted at the AstraZeneca Discovery Centre, covering exciting new developments in biomacromolecular structure analysis by MS. Poster session, exhibition and opportunities to network. As always, early career researchers and students will be encouraged to present talks and posters.

We are delighted to announce three world class keynotes from:

Prof Kathryn Lilley (University of Cambridge)

Prof Lori Passmore (LMB)

Prof Weston Struwe (University of Oxford)

showcasing the breadth and depth of structural MS in its myriad forms,
