The Rosalind Franklin Institute is a new national research centre, funded by the UK government, dedicated to bringing about transformative changes in life science through interdisciplinary research and technology development.
Based in the brand new Franklin hub within Harwell Campus, our scientists aim to produce technologies which allow us to see the biological world in new ways, from single molecules to entire systems. This insight will speed up drug design and development, and push forward our understanding of human health and disease.
We are looking for exceptional candidates (with any scientific background) to work on incredible research which will cross a number of our research themes in our one-of-a-kind fully funded PhD programme [https://www.rfi.ac.uk/franklinfutures/programme-overview/] starting October 2021.
Our themes include: § Artificial Intelligence and Informatics § Biological Mass Spectrometry [https://www.rfi.ac.uk/science-themes/biological-mass-spectrometry/] § Correlated Imaging § Next Generation Chemistry § Structural Biology (We would especially welcome any candidate with demonstrable experience or interest in mass spectrometry or correlated imaging.)
