encourage participation in all aspects of mass spectrometry on the
widest basis, to promote knowledge and advancement in the field
and to provide a forum for the exchange of views and information.

BMSS will hold its 38th Annual Meeting in Manchester at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). The RNCM provides a central and stunningly contemporary setting for next year’s event. BMSS has reserved the entire venue to accommodate the conference, introduction to mass spectrometry course, careers workshop, vendor exhibition and the society’s annual general meeting. The conference dinner will be held offsite at The Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) on Wednesday the 6th September. The conference will also feature an informal social evening on Tuesday the 5th September at the ‘Dog Bowl’ offering complementary refreshments, food and 10-pin bowling (for those who wish to play).
NEW Nominations for the BMSS committee
There will be a vacancy on the BMSS Committee after the AGM in September 2017 due to natural rolling progression.
BMSS members are invited to nominate members to fill the vacancies. Each nomination requires the support of two BMSS members and the agreement of the member who is being nominated. Nominations should be submitted to the BMSS Administrator by 14th June 2017.

Churchill College provides an accessible location within the City of Cambridge with parking and award winning accommodation on-site. BMSS has reserved the public spaces of the college to accommodate the conference, introduction to mass spectrometry short course, careers workshop, vendor exhibition, and the society’s AGM. The conference dinner will be held offsite in the spectacular dining hall of St. John’s College. The conference will also feature a barbeque social evening in the extensive grounds of Churchill College.
