We are currently seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist - Mass Spectrometry Specialist for the chemistry research department in Stein AG. With your expertise you will contribute to deliver innovative solutions to the Crop Protection research pipeline.

Your challenges

  • Supporting the chemistry research department with analytical chemistry in general as well as participating in various research projects.
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative analytical studies.
  • Development of chromatographic separation methods for small molecules (HPLC, UPLC, GC, SFC, etc.).
  • Use state-of-the-art high resolution mass spectrometry to solve challenging analytical questions and structure elucidations.
  • Work flexibly within the team to maintain instruments, propose and implement improvements to optimize the capability and capacity of our systems.

Your skills

  • At least 3 years of work experience in the application of mass spectrometry to the quantification of small molecules.
  • MSc university degree / Fachhochschulabschluss / Chemielaborant Ausbildung
  • Good knowledge in the development of separation methods in HLPC, GC, SFC.
  • High level of commitment and be capable to work independently
  • Ability and experience to build networks within the team, the department and with other functions
  • Languages: Written and spoken English, German is a plus.
