| Lecturer Profile
The lecturer will be chosen from UK based researchers who employ
mass spectrometry. The recipient must have a good reputation
for communicating their science and be currently active in the field.
The lecturer must be committed promoting mass spectrometry and
to raising the profile of mass spectrometry.
Lecturer Role
The lecturer will be sponsored to give up to 4 lectures per year
in the UK. However, the final number will be decided by mutual agreement.
The recipient of this award will prepare and present 2 –3
lectures describing their area of research. Institutions will
choose from the selection of the lectures. The lecturer, by
agreement with the BMSS, will also be sponsored when giving lectures
at appropriate international conferences. The lecturer will recognize
the support of BMSS and the goals of the lectureship as part of
the presentation.
Venues
• Institutions can apply for the lectureship to visit.
• Venue selection by agreement between the lecturer
and the BMSS Committee.
• Preferably, the lectures will take place at institutions
throughout the UK.
• Institutions can apply to host the Lecturer as part of prominent
programmes, such as a departmental seminar series.
