BRITISH MASS SPECTROMETRY SOCIETY
trapped ions special interest group

The trapped ions special interest group provides a forum for members of the FT-ICR, QIT and other novel ion trap communities to share results, expertise, problems and methodologies.  We hold occasional one day meetings, sessions and workshops at the three-day conference.

Trapped ion mass spectrometers, such as ion cyclotron and quadrupole instruments, provide unique capabilities and challenges to the mass spectrometry user.

A very successful one-day meeting was held in Dec 2002 at the Laboratory of the Government Chemist Also well-attended were sessions at the three-day meeting in Southampton, 2001, and an FT-ICR workshop at the 2003 IMSC in Edinburgh (www.imsc-edinburgh2003.com). Trapped Ions SIG Easter meeting 2005
