The development of LC/MS has provided analysts from a
wide range of disciplines such as environmental, pharmaceutical,
industrial and clinical, with a powerful tool. The LC/MS special
interest group provides a forum for scientists to stimulate ideas
and promote discussion in this field.
A two-day introductory course in LCMS followed by an LCMS symposium
is run every two years at Robinson College, Cambridge, UK.
The introductory course includes lectures on ionisation methods,
LC/MS interfaces and applications of Electrospray, Particle Beam
and API techniques. Lectures also include applications of LC/MS
in bioanalysis and developments and applications of CE/MS, LC/MS/MS
and LC/MSn.
