The 2016 BMSS Meeting is returning one more time to sunny Eastbourne and promises to be another exciting and entertaining event, with new ideas for sessions and three confirmed plenary speakers. The meeting opens on the evening of Tuesday 13th of September, concluding at 5pm on Thursday 15th - preceded by the highly popular Introduction to MS course, running on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th of September. The meeting will feature a full Exhibition, evening entertainment, a Poster session with prizes and the Conference Dinner.

Instructions For Poster Presenters:
A dedicated poster session will be held in the Devonshire Park Hall (adjacent to the Exhibition Hall) between 15:00-18.00 on Wednesday 14th September. Please note: presenting authors for poster presentations must be registered delegates at the meeting.
Poster Boards: boards are portrait orientation 1-metre-wide and 2 metres high and can accommodate x1 A0 poster displayed portrait fashion. Posters should be affixed using Velcro – presenters must supply their own Velcro.Other forms of fixing including blue-tac, sticky tape or pins are not permitted. The name of the presenting author should be underlined on the poster.
Displaying posters: Posters may be put up between 14:00-18:00 on Tuesday at 13th or between 08:00-11:00 (i.e. by start of the morning break) on Wednesday 14th and should remain in place until 13:30 on Thursday 15th September. Posters remaining up after this time will be removed.
Poster Presentation: Poster presenters will be asked to attend their posters at the designated times.
15:00-16:30 - Even numbered posters
16:30-18:00 - Odd numbered posters
Refreshments: tea, coffee and cold drinks will be available in the Devonshire Park Hall during the poster session.
Instructions For Oral Presenters:
Please note: presenting authors for oral presentations must be registered delegates at the meeting.
Presentation format: Presentations should be in Microsoft power point 2010 or later and should be formatted for on-screen show (16:9 - this can be found in the page setup of PowerPoint. Presentation should be submitted on a preloaded USB drive in a folder on the root called ‘BMSS2016’. Please place all videos/audio files and a single copy of your presentation in this folder. Please use the following file name structure for your presentation: Session number: Speaker Surname (e.g. Session 1 ‘suranme’.pptx or Session 2 ‘surname’.pptx) this will help greatly in organising your session. USB sticks will be returned once your talk has been uploaded but please note, this may take some time and so you will be asked to leave the USB stick with conference staff. BMSS accepts no liability for loss or damage to the USB stick or its contents.
Submission of Presentations: Files should be emailed to
firstname.lastname@example.org before 17:00 on Friday 9th September. Presentations for the sessions 1-4 on the Wednesday morning must be emailed in advance of the meeting and be received as per the aforementioned deadline. Please note the email attachment file size should be no bigger than 20MB. Even if emailed ahead of the meeting, all presenters are asked bring a preloaded copy of their presentation (on a USB stick) along to the meeting and hand to the registration staff on arrival. If it is not possible to email the presentation ahead of the meeting, all presentations must be handed in at the registration desk on registering or to the registration desk the day before your assigned session begins
Session Guidelines: Oral presenters should arrive at the venue for their session at least 15 minutes before the start of the session, so as to enable liaison with the session chair and technical staff with regards to their presentations. Oral contributed presentations should last a maximum of 20 minutes (including 5 minutes for questions). Keynote presentations should last 30 minutes (including 5 minutes for questions). Timings will be strictly monitored by the Session Chairs.
