BMSS Introduction to Mass Spectrometry Course 14th & 15th September 2015
University of Birmingham – Edgbaston

The 2015 BMSS Annual Meeting will take place at the vibrant campus of the University of Birmingham, from Tuesday September 15th to Thursday September 17th. This year’s meeting will have a strong emphasis on connections, featuring sessions from the individual Special Interest Groups (SIG’s), joint sessions with BSPR and the Metabolomics Society in addition to more general main sessions, designed to attract a wide audience and range of submitted abstracts. The Maccoll Lecture (at the conference start, on the evening of the 15th) will be delivered by Professor Ron Heeren, the Wednesday plenary Professor Brian Chait, closing with the Professor Ian Wright, principal investigator in the Rosetta space mission. There will be a full poster session, featuring the Barber/Bordoli prize awards. The meeting will also feature a full exhibition with involvement of over 30 industry partners

Please note: an email containing further meeting and course instructions has been sent out (on the 8th September) to all meeting and course delegates. Please contact the BMSS Administrator if you have not received the email.

The abstract book is now available to download. Please note this area is password protected - delegates will be contacted separately by email with the password details.

Poster Session: Will take place in the Aston Webb Rotunda and Bramall Foyer 1st Floor on Wednesday 16th September between 15:00-18:00. All posters will be on display during the sessions with EVEN number posters being presented between 15:00-16:30 and ODD number posters between 16:30-18:00. Poster presenters are asked to attend their posters at their designated time slot.
Poster Numbers: Will be available via the on-line Abstract Booklet, due to be published on the BMSS Website over the next few weeks.
Poster Boards: Will fit x1 A0 poster, displayed portrait fashion. Please note, posters should be affixed with Velcro – Velcro must be supplied by the poster presenter.           
Displaying posters: Posters may be put up between 14:00-19:00 on Tuesday 15th and between 08:00 10:40 (i.e. by start of the morning break) on Wednesday 16th and should remain in place until 12.30 on Thursday 17th September (i.e. end of lunch on Thursday). Posters remaining up after this time will be removed.

Sponsorship opportunities for the meeting are limited and so are available on a first come first served basis. Please contact the BMSS Administrator for further details.

Introduction to Mass Spectrometry Course:
The BMSS will again be running its highly successful Introduction to Mass Spectrometry Course.
Course Information is now available to download.
Registration for the course is available online or by downloading a hard copy of the main meeting registration form in either MS Word or PDF format.
It should be noted that attendees for the course do not have to register for the main meeting. Also please note that registration for the main meeting does not include attendance on the course.
