This acts as a forum for the fundamental aspects of mass spectrometry, e.g., ionization processes, collision phenomena, ion fragmentation, ion/molecule reactions, chemical physics and ion chemistry. We note that fundamental is not synonymous with small molecules.

If you are interested to learn or contribute to discussion on the fundamental aspects of mass spectrometry and ion chemistry then please send in your specific interests to the SIG coordinator and include which topics of fundamentals you would like the SIG to look at.
